Email Autoresponders - How to make them work for you
So you started your online business and your internet to get some traffic. You're making a few sales and / or you're bringing in some revenue from AdSense or some form of affiliate marketing. Now the question is: how can we build on this start and maximize the revenue producing power sites?
One way to do this is through an e-mail autoresponder. This allows you to keep in touch with your visitors and customers a very powerful way. It ensures that every visitor to your website is not just an occasional visitor to navigate off the page and then disappears forever, but potentially returning to your site over and over again, perhaps to make a purchase on their second or third visit. And a visitor makes a purchase will be more likely to return to buy from you again if you use an autoresponder.
So, how does it work?
There are different types of methods depending on personal choice, but essentially it comes to putting your site in a place important enough, an invitation to the visitor or customer to provide their contact details. This would normally only their name and email address, although in some cases, there is an argument for saying that further details.
You will probably get more people filling out the form if you keep the details asking them to provide up to an absolute minimum. Many people have a problem in providing too much of their personal information to a web site, and have every right to feel that way.
Once completed the form and were made aware that this grants you permission to send e-mail to them, then you are free to send e-mail auto-reply to all the names on your list. Once you go ahead with this, you will soon discover they have a very long list. The beauty of an autoresponder e-mail is that it is just as easy to send a thousand names as it is to e-mail ten of them.
What to include in email messages sent is entirely up to you, can be customized to meet the needs of their particular activity or activities of the website. You can take the form of a newsletter, or information on the latest products or services you offer, or whatever.
In our experience, we found that e-mail more efficient cars are those in which there is at least some element of a personal touch. Obviously in an e-mail going out to potentially thousands of people, can not be completely personal, but that kind of feeling can be achieved with a little 'practice. Readers do not like to feel they are treated as if they were a robot! Another thing that people tend to shy away from is the hard sell approach. So it is better to present your own products or services.
In this way, if you have a long list of subscribers, the numbers game will start working in your favor. Once visitors will come back and many of them will become regular customers .......
