Define vertically people is easy. The differentiation is endless and depends from what angle we want them to observe. We can divide between rich and poor, educated and ignorant, beautiful and ugly, gross, intelligent, active and sedentary, introverted and extroverted, and the list goes on. But it is harder to define horizontally. Scientists agreed that the psychophysical condition also makes the temperament and found notable features and easy to discern.

The best classification was made William Sheldon, who dedicated his life to studying the range of association of somatic types, characteristics, temperament and personality. The man he says is a mixture in variable proportions of three components physical and three psychological components closely related. The intensity of each can be measured by empirical procedures. Three ingredients gives endomorphy name, mesomorphy and ectomorphy. The individual endomorph is predominantly soft and rounded and can easily become too fat. The pronounced mesomorph is hard, bony and muscular. The ectomorph is thin flexible bones and muscles is soft, not apparent.

With the constitution is closely linked endomorphic a plot called Sheldon viscerotonía temperamental. Its significant features are the love of eating and typically eat in company. The propensity for the comforts and luxuries. The taste for the ceremonies. A kindness which does not distinguish. Inclined people. Fear of loneliness. Inhibited expression of emotions. Longing for affection and social support.

Related to temperament mesomorphy somatotonia calls. Its dominant features are the love of muscular activity, aggressiveness and lust for power. Indifference to others' pain. Insensitivity to the feelings of others. Propensity to fight and competition. High degree of physical courage.

Ectomorphy is related to the temperament cerebrotónico. The cerebrotónico end, is the superatento, super-sensitive, introverted, more concerned with what goes on behind their eyes that the external world to which somatotonic viscerotonic and give their primary attention and homage. Do not feel or have little desire to dominate, nor have the indiscriminate affection to the people as such. Instead, they want to live and let live and they are comfortable being alone. Its sensitivity makes them very sexy.

Human groups as individuals have the same characteristics in varying degrees and appear accordingly. The soldiers and armies are somatotonic feed them. Primitive societies in general are warriors and belong to this group. Aldous Huxley took these differences to the spiritual and relationship with God and we can observe are somatotonic Muslims, Christians and Jews viscerotonic and Buddhists and Hindus cerebrotónicos. (The Christians were somatotonic until a few centuries).

The marked differences between these forms of behavior helps to understand people. You can not deal with individuals cerebrally in its essential nature are somatotonic and the only law they understand is force. Westerners still viscerotonic affects the comfort and good living, do not understand their current Muslim enemies and seek a civilized dialogue. The cerebrotónicos see both groups from a higher level, concerned primarily for their own spiritual upliftment and welfare of humanity through the domain of reason and respect for others in a constructive individualism.

Organized religions are supposed to be a vehicle to approach God, but attention to the churches and synagogues has become more of a social event than a spiritual and mosques have become terrorist indoctrination into military barracks. To deal with individuals and companies somatotonic and not be overcome, there is no alternative but to act like them. It is imperative to go down to their level and beat them with their own methods instead of hoping for the impossible: they evolve through reason and tolerance, a process millennium.
