Revitalizing a brand identity for a publisher of books Gift Show

While working as an independent marketing consultant, I managed to get a contract with a publishing house entertainment gift book to help them revitalize their brand image. The company was started in 1999 had established a reputation for producing beautiful gift books of entertainment for adults and children in a heterogeneous group of subjects. The company has several competitors that offer a line of very similar products. Sales of the company for its first 7 years of work have been steadily rising, but started to slide last year, and company sales representatives were having a harder time distributing their books.

I met with sales of business and marketing staff to get a complete picture of their marketing and sales concerns. After a thorough analysis of their company I conducted a market research on industries, past and present to get an idea of where the market was heading for the future. I had company representatives to gather information from potential customers to get a picture of what their perception of how they viewed the company and its products. From the information I obtained from these sources have been able to recommend changes that needed to be done 4.

1. The company needed to create a much wider range of entertainment for their gift books. I was able to determine this from the response that the sales representatives had received upon the sale of the company books. The vast majority of buyers want a larger selection and also wanted to see gift Entertainment Series book on a wide variety of topics as well.

2. The company had lost some of their key art directors and illustrators of books and the quality of their pictures was slightly diminished (in the book that the gift of entertainment to make a big difference in the quality of the books).

3. The company needed to make better buying options and incentives to buyers of books. So I created promotional packages that would give buyers of books discount options on purchases made online through the company store, stationary stores, garden shops, ice cream stores, and various souvenir shops.

4. The company was losing money and time and their effectiveness because of a disorganized marketing system. So I created a new management system of marketing that allows the company to complete these tasks in about 90% of the cost of their previous marketing plan, and about 75% of the time of the previous plan.

These changes and new additions to their marketing plan has created a 30% increase in sales over a period of 90 days, as well as revitalize the brand image of companies to create a high quality gift of several picture books for adults and children .......
