Affiliate Traffic Techniques Part 1

There are all kinds of traffic you can get on the web. You can buy as cheap as ten thousand visitors in getting traffic to your site in seven days. This type of traffic in general is garbage, is one targeted in some cases can be controlled by the software. So unless you really know what you are doing you want to stay away from this type of traffic.

You can also get advertising banners. In this case, a flag is created and placed on sites related to your market. This is more targeted traffic than the above, but you may find that often times you get a poor click through rates because people have developed online navigation banner blindness. They see it as an ad and click on it.

You can write articles. However, all items are not created equal. A good article can do well if the traffic is very informative and answers questions related to what someone is looking for. Items can also help with the optimization of search engines if the keywords you have studied properly. I will discuss in more detail in another article.

You can go to the forum and answer questions and help people understand things. Again do not want to be just self-promotion. You must answer questions and provide value. Again this can be effective and I suggest you make it part of your traffic generation techniques.

Next blog is. Again like the forum you can leave comments and answer questions perhaps raise some additional points, but again be there for the people and not for their own self serving needs. If you love what you do then worry about others and want to help. If it is then that money will be evident in your actions. Blogs also have RSS feeds which means additional traffic can display different messages.
