Sensationalism in Journalism

Recent events in India have been a regular feed for Indian media. It 's quite obvious that people form their opinions based on what they see and hear on the news or other information sources. Whether the Aarushi murder case or the nuclear deal.

I personally think that the transmission as well as the media is taking full advantage of this and in many cases improper use of these advantages.

Take the Aarushi murder case, for example, the poor girl has been killed, arrested the father, accused of murdering his own daughter, a case of lack of professionalism by the Noida police. The police officer investigating literally massacred pictures of Aarushi and her father. This was the time when the media should have played a clear role and continued lack of duty by the police. Well made, but what I see is the media jumping on Dr. Talwar, saying that it was her stepfather, and news flashes as "The Father killer"

In the nuclear deal, the electronic media was busy counting the votes and say controversial things, when it was supposed to show the positive and negative aspects of the contract and let the people decide what is right and wrong.

I myself being a journalism student I feel that media has the power and importance in our democracy, but what is the use of this power, when you can not use it properly. Instead of entering the journalism sensationalistic media should create awareness and do not test cases, as this is not the work of the media. Should let the judicial system. The role of the media should be transparent, impartial, non-sensational, it should show both aspects of each news item and do not play with the mind of the crowd .......
