For evaluating the imaginary citizen is an act to qualify, measure, to weigh what has been achieved on a scale, usually ranging from 1 to 10.

However, the act of educational assessment goes beyond simply giving a rating. It is a pedagogical process that has gone through different stages in the Mexican school:

I. - The first thirty years of the twentieth century until the sixties the evaluation focused on memory, to recall the programmatic content of a subject or matter through examination, usually applied to the end of the course, the examinations, whether oral or written, the latter went from unstructured to standardized and objective. The review was the sole instrument to promote and qualify the student.

II .- In the late sixties to the year 2000, the assessment remains equivalent to measuring only now is seen as a change in behavior and not as an act of memorizing. It is the period corresponding to the so-called ideological behaviorism. In this current educational assessment formed the majority of teachers today are facing the group, as well as parents of most students now enrolled in basic education.

III .- In our times, which correspond to our time, the evaluation is completely different, so different that teachers themselves find it strange, but not difficult to understand.

In the first two decades of the XXI century educational assessment becomes formative, contrary to the concept of measurement. and becomes part of the process of student learning. It is in this evaluation concept that underpins the new reform of basic education, which aims to develop life skills: learning to learn, learning to do and learning to be.

Today parents are disconcerted by this process, for the classification of their children no longer depend exclusively on an examination or test but a set of activities that allow you to demonstrate that they have knowledge not only apprehended (and with intermediate hache) but you know how to apply, which is the real progress of the learning process.

Therefore, at the beginning of this article talked about the imaginary citizen, who are none other than parents today ponder the quality of education in the past, one that was based on the recall, memorize, they insist that their children curriculum content must remember and not to think detienene are being trained (students) for the use of knowledge, this perception is dangerous because it can lead to conflicts between parents and educators.

Today, leaders and parents must contribute responsibly to achieve meaningful learning learners, those who will solve their problems both academic existential, in the framework of respect for others, diversity of opinions, diversity of ideas and the order and nature.

The mission of the school and not only serves to disseminate knowledge but to recreate it, give it a Utula pwersonal development and social
