Fundamental Choice, the New Testament texts

Much I questioned, not so much the method, if not the purpose behind the selection of texts that make up the essential book of Christianity: The New Testament.

Many versions of such a decision and event, from the beautiful allegory of the Holy Spirit as a dove perched on the texts to the gross and prosaic texts thrown on a table, is evident in all the "absence? of intention or action of the Fathers of the Church in such selection, the final judge being a manifestation of divine power or the sheer chance, the decision was made and was enshrined for posterity, without possibility of review or discussion ...

At this point it is important to note the huge loss of content that has led to the choice of texts that comprise the New Testament. At the time of selection there was no way humanly possible to validate the content of any of them or the contents compare with the reality of what they relate at all "wills? (Speaking Testament as "witnessing? Rather than as a legacy) were equal for approval and inclusion in the Bible.

Although many of the "rejected? were written by eyewitnesses to the events narrated or at least by people who lived in times and places closest to the events narrated are privileged but in the final selection, four written texts (at least 70 years after the crucifixion the nearest) by authors who wrote the story of "hearsay? through testimony from unidentified third parties.

This point is relevant are the so-called apocryphal wills and the "Dead Sea Scrolls? an important collection of manuscripts prior and contemporaneous to the time of Christ found in the caves of Qumran, on the shores of the Dead Sea, where among many other documents have been found invaluable document containing some apocryphal wills at the time rejected by the leadership of the church.

The reasons for the final selection of the texts can only be referred to the desirability and the use and interpretation could be given as supporting documentation of the institutional structure and dogmatic that was erected to support the new religion, a confirmation of this could be the inability of the institutional church spiritual theory to provide answers to questions strictly of faith even today and in light of new archaeological discoveries that have served to bring order to the tangle of documents, dates, and events that make up the base and source of Christianity, the failure, neglect or refusal to give clear answers or change sound dogmatic positions on some sensitive issues as such action could mean a major breakdown in authority sowing doubts the zeal with which it protects its authority over true spiritual welfare of the faithful is more than evident sign of the commitment hidden behind the design and selection of concepts that are theoretically based and content expressed in these four texts ..

The study of the Dead Sea Scrolls have drawn conclusions very interesting and disturbing about the true nature, not only of Christ but also of John the Baptist, being possible to identify through these manuscripts as members of the sect of the Essenes , a Jewish sect whose doctrine was essentially identical to the teachings of Christ and this is an item that would be cataclysmic for the Christian institution it overrides the divine nature of Christ with all that this would in the light of the doctrine accepted and promoted by the church and would be so dramatic as to accept that Christ died on the cross or that it did descent through Mary Magdalene (an idea that is fashionable) ... all very real possibilities, but in direct disagreement with the fundamental articles of faith of any structured form of Christianity and therefore in principle denied and stigmatized as "heresy? and "anathema?.

From here you begin to make very difficult to hold as many articles of faith, so many mysteries, so many allegories, many "literary license? of the 4 authors ... to do many ropes to avoid or explain the contradictions and to fill the gaps ... also for the believer to understand the substantial differences between the texts of the Bible and the Catechism contents .... (An example?: Compare the 10 commandments in both texts)

I do not think the decision is the product of a thorough analysis of the contents and doubt, in light of selected comparisons have been made exhaustive of all texts "candidates? looking for inconsistencies or omissions, it seems unlikely that these four texts contain the absolute totality of history and understand why no logical reason can be dismissed cavalierly an undetermined number of evidence supporting the facts as described and narrated the life of Christ and missionary work and saving ... when strict logic to greater abundance of documentary evidence and testable data would be more difficult to refute the veracity of what was said, nothing more and nothing less than the baseline support a religion that, at the time, and was emerging as a global reach.

It ends up being another discussion Byzantine ... one of the essential elements of the Christian religion in all its forms, sects or "presentations? is the unconditional acceptance of the interpretation that makes the hierarchy on the teachings of Christ, participation in rituals invented by her and the acceptance and use of promotional materials designated by it, without question, without hesitation, without looking for sides as other attitude would be immediately marked with the stigma of failure or the relaxation of the faith ... thank God thing today is no big deal, because one thing is to have faith in God and quite another to have faith in men who self-proclaimed representatives or institutions that were made "as? .. . and that, basically, is what's important.
